You can wear a kimono anyway, but it is difficult to say that it is a cool salt plum.
I feel that my body shape is hidden, but in fact, the habit of my body shape is more noticeable in kimono.

I've been dressing up at work with that feeling in how I can make myself look attractive.
Therefore, you can bring out your individuality and teach attractive ways of wearing, which cannot be taught by the dressing that you learn at ordinary kimono academy.

Of course, you will be able to wear it practically.

You will practice with your own kimono.

Details are provided, but if you do not understand, please feel free to contact us.

1. What is iki?

I think that being beautiful means doing it properly. It is the basis of a classy person.

Because it's a different person from a fashion model.

It's not just about style, face, and so on.
For the first time, when the beauty is in place, you can break it down a little and play with it, and it becomes "smart".

Stylish dressing and kimono story

How to choose a kimono

There are "dyed kimono" and "woven kimono" in kimono, and there is also "case".

Here, we introduce seven typical types of kimono, using their case and purpose as a guide.
There are exceptions depending on the type and number of crests, the pattern of the kimono, the obi to match, and the accessories.

With black crest [Kuromontsuki] "The best dress" that expresses the heart of Japan

  • Best dress for both unmarried and unmarried

  • Combined with a gorgeous and prestigious sash, it is a celebration with a feeling of congratulations

  • Condolences in mourning with the black Nagoya belt (black joint belt)

The black crest with five crests (back, both chests, both sleeves) in a solid black color is the most prestigious outfit.

Depending on the obi, it can be worn on either Kei or Condolence.

The back crest (back crest) represents ancestors, the chest crest (hug crest) represents parents, and the sleeve crests (sleeve crest) represent siblings and relatives.

Tomesode [Tomesode] The most prestigious kimono.

First dress (formal dress)

  • For use as a rite of passage in life (wedding, etc.)

  • The obi ties a "bag obi" in the sense that joy overlaps.

[Black Tomesode] For the celebration of married women, it has five crests.

[Colored Tomesode] Features a crest and hem pattern. You can wear it regardless of whether you are married or unmarried.

Originally, it is worn by layering white feather double kimono (underwear).
Recently, fly tailoring (tailoring that looks like two layers of collar, hem, and sleeves are worn) is common.

Homongi [Homongi]   Characterized by a series of gorgeous picture feather patterns

  • Second dress (abbreviated dress)

  • In a sunny place

  • Tie a sash

It features a picture feather pattern that runs from the shoulders to the chest, through the sleeves to the hem.

A picture is attached to a temporary white cloth.

Attach [Tsukesage]   All patterns are facing up

  • Second dress (abbreviated dress)

  • In a sunny place

  • Tie a sash

Same rank as Houmongi. The feature is that it is dyed so that all the patterns are facing upward as it is a piece of cloth.

Plain color [Iromuji]   One-color plain dyed kimono

  • If you attach a crest, the second dress (abbreviated dress)
If not, fashionable clothes (for going out)

  • If there is a crest, you can tie a sash belt, otherwise you can tie a Nagoya belt.

If you put a crest on it, it will be almost the same as the Houmongi.
The darkness is for condolences.

Komon [Komon]   Representative of fashionable clothes

  • Prank (going out)

  • As everyday wear, street wear

  • Fukuro-obi (depending on the pattern and material), Nagoya-obi, half-width obi

Edo Komon is said to have a high rank. (Same as visiting clothes)

☆ How to put on a half collar

・ Long undershirt ・ Half collar ・ Machi needle ・ Sewing thread ・ Sewing needle ・ Iron

-Iron the entire half collar.

Ironing is done from the back at medium temperature for silk, and a patch for polyester collar.

・ Fold both ends of the half collar a few centimeters and iron lightly.

The reason for folding the half-collar is to adjust the length of the half-collar. (You don't have to)

・ Sew along the edges.

Discipline stitching is not a lockstitch, but to fix seams and creases.

It is a sewing method that temporarily binds or presses stitches.

・ Fold one of the ears of the half-collar to the back about 1.5 cm and iron it to make a crease.

-Put out the front side (outside) of the long undershirt collar, align the center of the back with the center of the half collar, and fasten with a gusset needle.

Fasten the gusset needle from the center of the back to the open shoulders and the end of the half collar.

・ Sew from the end of the half collar.
If you sew to the end, the front side collar is completed!

Kuke stitching is a sewing method in which one stitch is scooped, the stitch is returned, and one stitch is advanced. In this case, scoop the inside of each of the half-collar and long-juban collars 0.1 cm from the ridge, and close them at the same interval (about 0.5 to 0.7 cm) so that they do not come out.

・ Put out the inside (back side) of the long undershirt and fold the half collar to fit the width of the long undershirt.

As before, fasten the gusset needle from the center of the back to the end of the half collar.

Lightly iron here.

As before, sew from the end of the half collar. If you sew to the end, the inner collar is completed!
