The top athlete discovery and training project planned and executed by the Institute for Artificial Evolution builds a systematic training and strengthening system from the junior period to the top level in order to improve the national competitiveness of the world's sports powerhouses. As an athlete, (1) to develop athletes or potential candidates who can play an active role in the stage of international sports competitions such as the World Athletics Championships and the Olympic Games, or (2) the stage of sports competitions in Japan such as the National Sports Festival and the Japanese Championships. It is a business model that aims to discover and nurture talented young people living in the metropolitan area who are in the process of blooming.

Goal 1. Improve competitiveness to compete with the world's strongest nations.

Specifically, we will build a training system that grants athlete candidates a systematic strengthening program up to the top level from the junior period.

 

We will train athletes who can aim to win more medals than ever (37 in summer (Athens) and 10 in winter (Nagano)) for the summer or winter Olympic Games 2.5 years from now.

 

Goal 3. Foster athletes who can aim for a record number of winners at the Olympic Games and World Championships. By the way, at the Olympic Games, it was 52 in the summer (Beijing) and 25 in the winter (Salt Lake City).

 

From the perspective of formulating and promoting medium-term and long-term strengthening and training strategies with a view to the future of the target 4.5 to 10 years from now, athlete candidates will participate in the target junior championship, and the number of medals won will increase significantly.
