ChatGPT-Driven Brain Biocomputer: Pioneering Next-Gen Consciousness-Infused AI Chipset Design

- Design of an Intelligent Processor Chipset for a Brain-Embedded Consciousness-Driven Cognitive Biocomputer Incorporating ChatGPT -

a. A development team consisting of neuroscientists from the Artificial Evolution Research Institute (AERI: Pasadena, California, HP: https://www.aeri-japan.com/) and computer scientists from Xyronix Corporation (Pasadena, California, HP: https://www.usaxyronix.com/), along with biosemiconductor and LSI researchers, is pioneering a new approach to prototype an Intelligent Processor Chipset for a Brain-Embedded Consciousness-Driven Cognitive Biocomputer incorporating ChatGPT, a neuromorphic accelerator aimed at enhancing energy-efficient real-time machine intelligence for next-generation embodied systems such as autonomous vehicles and robots.

b. ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI, is a type of natural language processing model and part of the GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) technology. Its purpose is to generate responses in natural language understanding and generation tasks at a level close to humans, trained on large text datasets. ChatGPT is specialized in dialogue tasks such as conversation and question answering, generating appropriate responses based on user input, and mimicking natural conversations. This model is trained on pre-existing data to acquire the ability to understand various language patterns and contexts. ChatGPT finds applications in various fields such as chatbots, virtual assistants, and customer support systems, with considerations for education, healthcare, and entertainment.

c. AERI and Xyronix have created detailed instructions towards constructing a Brain-Embedded Consciousness-Driven Cognitive Biocomputer Intelligent Processor Chipset incorporating ChatGPT, mimicking brain-like behavior using spike ChatGPT with the help of natural language prompts. Through gradual prompts to ChatGPT, the chipset can mimic a single biological neuron and further establish a logical configuration forming neural-link style networks, thus establishing a complete biochip design method manufacturable through semiconductor design and manufacturing processes. In other words, this chipset can be considered as a cutting-edge artificial brain chip designed using natural language processing.

d. The final network architecture embedded within the artificial brain chip consists of a small silicon brain with interconnected two layers of neurons. Using a 2048-bit addressable weight system, the strength of these connections can be adjusted, allowing the artificial brain chip to configure the functions and operations by learning weights. Reconstruction and programmability are facilitated through a standard peripheral interface (SPI) subsystem, designed using natural language prompts by ChatGPT.

e. In the creation of the artificial brain chip, a simple neural network chip design is pursued, avoiding complex coding. Before sending the chipset to the manufacturing process, extensive software simulations are conducted to verify logic, ensuring that the final design operates as intended and allowing for iterative design to address issues. After validation of the final design, manufacturing processes such as 65 nanometers, 90 nanometers, up to 130 nanometers CMOS processes are utilized.

f. While the incorporation of ChatGPT into the Brain-Embedded Consciousness-Driven Cognitive Biocomputer Intelligent Processor Chipset represents a small step towards large-scale automated practical hardware AI systems, it demonstrates the potential to create advanced AI hardware systems using AI, thereby accelerating the development and deployment of AI technology.

g. Over the past 20 years, the semiconductor industry has made significant progress by reducing the feature size of physical structures on computer chips, enabling more complex designs in the same silicon area. Advanced computer chips like the ChatGPT-embedded Brain-Embedded Consciousness-Driven Cognitive Biocomputer Intelligent Processor Chipset support the creation of more sophisticated computing hardware, thus bringing about an exponential increase in computing capabilities that drive today's AI revolution.
