Geothermal energy is the perfect energy source for economic viability, security and security of supply.

It is obvious that micro reactors (Small Modular Reactors: SMRs) will fail.

The geothermal power generation technology being researched and developed by the Artificial Evolution Research Institute (AERI), which is a twin technology to the micro reactor, is a closed-cycle heat exchange power generation system with a heat regenerative binary engine and a cogeneration-type micro binary power generation system with the following features.

(1) Because the power generation facility of the 100GWh class can be constructed without choosing the region, it has a large market potential.

(2) The problem of the influence to the groundwater of the present geothermal power generation can be solved.

(3) Unlike nuclear power plants, geothermal power plants do not require security costs.

(4) Vertical scaling to increase thermal efficiency is easy.

(5)Since the turbine and other equipment can be shared with coal-fired and natural gas-fired power plants, replacement costs can be kept low and construction time short.

As you can see, this is the ultimate power generation technology.

2. Micro reactors (Small Modular Reactors: SMRs) are deliberately chosen to be inefficient, yet they do not solve any of the problems.

SMRs have existed since the 1950s.

However, they are no better today than they were then.

3. Why is the Japanese government funding micro reactors (SMRs)?

It is obvious that micro reactors (small modular reactors) will fail.

The obvious drawbacks are as follows

(1) There is no big market.

(2) There is no clear winner, with a capacity of only 0.068 MW to 500 MW.

3) Security costs are necessary.

(4) It is also clear that vertical scaling to increase thermal efficiency is not possible.

It is also clear that there are additional security risks and associated costs and that liability insurance is capped.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) considers plants up to 300 MW to be small and 700 MW to be medium.

4. Geothermal power: the only renewable energy source that is not dependent on weather conditions

Crude oil and natural gas are strategic commodities, the supply of which is used as a political bargaining chip.

Coal-fired and natural gas-fired power plants emit significant amounts of carbon dioxide (CO2).

Wind and solar power can be crippled by natural disasters and bad weather.

Compared to these methods, the geothermal energy-based power generation method being researched at the Artificial Evolution Research Institute (AERI https://www.aeri-japan.com/) meets the following challenges

(1) 100% of the power generation resources can be supplied by the country itself, without depending on other countries.

(2) It is the only best energy source in terms of security.

(3) It can be supplied stably without being affected by climate change, abnormal weather and natural disasters.

The price of raw materials is basically "zero".

(5) It has the potential to generate far more electricity than coal- or natural gas-fired power generation, in excess of 100 GWh (gigawatts per hour), which is comparable to or even better than nuclear power generation.
