The AERI synthetic fuel chemical process, which uses renewable CHEGPG electricity and captured CO2 from carbon capture systems to produce synthetic fuels like methanol, LNG, and LPG, offers a scientific means to achieve the seemingly unrealistic "Green New Deal" advocated by the Democratic Party in the United States. It stands as the sole means to realize the stagnating Green New Deal and the Clean Energy Shift GX.

1. a. The Green New Deal (GND) refers to an economic stimulus proposal introduced in the United States with the goal of addressing climate change and correcting economic disparities. It combines the New Deal policies implemented by then-President Franklin D. Roosevelt in response to the Great Depression of 1929, aimed at rescuing the American economy, with efforts to address contemporary environmental issues such as renewable energy and resource efficiency.

The Green New Deal initially referred to a proposal that aimed to invest $150 billion in renewable energy over ten years and create five million green jobs before the start of the Obama administration. This was collectively referred to as the "Green New Deal." However, in February 2019, a new Green New Deal resolution was introduced by then-youngest-ever-elected Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Senator Ed Markey, among others.

b. The Green New Deal (GND) refers to an economic stimulus plan in the United States aimed at addressing climate change and rectifying economic disparities.

It draws inspiration from the New Deal policies implemented by President Roosevelt in response to the Great Depression but adapts them to today's challenges of environmental concerns and inequality. About a decade ago, before the Obama administration took office, there was a commitment to invest $150 billion in renewable energy over ten years and create five million green jobs, collectively referred to as the "Green New Deal." However, what has garnered significant attention recently is the Green New Deal resolution introduced in February of this year by Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who is the youngest-ever elected member of Congress, and Senator Ed Markey. This resolution focuses on the following key pillars:

c. This resolution has faced significant criticism not only from the Republican Party but also from various sectors within the U.S. industry due to its perceived exorbitant costs and its label as "socialist." President Trump wasted no time in mocking it on Twitter, saying, "The Democrats are trying to permanently eliminate all planes, cars, cows, oil, gas, and the military for a carbon footprint." Senate Majority Leader McConnell, a Republican, has chosen to bring the resolution to a vote, seemingly to portray the Democrats as embracing a far-left agenda.

d. Senators who have thrown their hats into the ring as Democratic presidential candidates for the 2020 election, such as Sanders, Harris, Warren, Gillibrand, Booker, and Klobuchar, have expressed their support for this resolution. This indicates the potential for climate change to become a significant issue in the 2020 presidential election. It will be interesting to see how environmental concerns may influence people's voting decisions.

In the Green New Deal resolution, the main policy pillars include:

• Achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions.

• Transitioning to 100% renewable energy in the power sector.

• Building resilience to climate change and related disasters.

• Investing in zero-emission vehicles and overhauling transportation systems.

Implementing and enforcing robust border adjustments, procurement standards, and trade rules, all while ensuring strong employment and environmental protections.

These policies not only address climate change but also emphasize the importance of simultaneously addressing issues such as employment and healthcare for the disadvantaged in society.

2. The resolution was indeed rejected in the Senate after its initial introduction, but it was reintroduced by Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez and Senator Markey in April 2021. Furthermore, the current Biden administration places significant emphasis on addressing climate change in its policy agenda. It has taken proactive steps such as establishing the "White House Office of Domestic Climate Policy," the "White House Environmental Justice Advisory Council," and the "National Climate Task Force" consisting of relevant cabinet members, demonstrating a commitment to actively tackle climate change issues. The future developments in this regard are closely monitored and anticipated.

3. The prospect of the "Green New Deal" policy, which involves public investments in renewable energy and climate change mitigation, took the American political scene by surprise. However, for the most part, it remained a loose set of goals rather than a list of assured policies.

On the morning of February 7th, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (representing New York, pictured in the center above) and Senator Ed Markey (representing Massachusetts) finally unveiled a framework for more specific proposals related to the "Green New Deal" environmental legislation.

Much of it was as expected, reflecting the drafters' ambitions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from sectors such as agriculture, construction, energy, and transportation. They also called for modernizing the electrical grid and strengthening cities to withstand climate disasters.

What's even more intriguing is that the "Green New Deal" environmental legislation is finally providing a new framework with detailed information about the combination of technologies that could be adopted to achieve these goals, thus offering a scientific perspective to the seemingly unrealistic "Green New Deal." The energy industry and environmental organizations have already been engaged in active discussions and sometimes contentious debates over how to address the challenges presented by these proposals.

4. The Artificial Evolution Research Institute (AERI), based in Pasadena (https://www.AERI-japan.com/), has achieved success in the research and development of three GX technologies:

a. AERI has developed a power generation method that relies on 100% domestically produced and consumed (national) geothermal energy, completely independent of imported coal or oil. This method is a clean and renewable energy source with zero greenhouse gas emissions (net-zero emissions). It offers high flexibility in terms of construction location and can provide terawatt-level power generation capacity, capable of meeting 100% of the country's electricity demand. It can produce ultra-low-cost electricity, ranging from 1 yen/kWh to 0.01 yen/kWh, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, in a stable and sustainable manner, making it an ultra-low-cost, carbon-neutral, and infinite energy source known as CHEGPG (Power Generation Method).

b. AERI has developed a Carbon-neutral AERI synthetic fuel chemical process. This process utilizes CO2 captured by a carbon dioxide recovery system (carbon recycling system) that relies entirely on domestically produced and consumed raw materials, with no dependence on imported coal or oil. It produces synthetic fuels such as LNG, LPG, and methanol.

c. AERI has achieved 100% renewable energy for electricity using the CHEGPG system power source, which relies on 100% domestically produced and consumed (national) geothermal energy. This energy source is used by the Carbon-neutral AERI synthetic fuel chemical process to stably and infinitely produce green synthetic fuels (methanol, liquefied natural gas LNG, liquefied petroleum gas LPG), effectively serving as an inexhaustible alternative to fossil fuels.

5. With the unlimited power supply from the 100% domestically produced and consumed (national) geothermal energy source known as CHEGPG (Power Generation Method), which costs between 1 yen/kWh to 0.01 yen/kWh and is ultra-low cost, carbon-neutral, and an infinite energy source without relying on imported coal or oil, synthetic methane (LNG) and synthetic propane (LPG) engines, when used as fuel, can reduce CO2 emissions by more than 70% compared to current gasoline engines.

6. When there is an unlimited power supply from the 100% domestically produced and consumed (national) geothermal energy source known as CHEGPG (Power Generation Method), which costs between 1 yen/kWh to 0.01 yen/kWh and is ultra-low cost, carbon-neutral, and an infinite energy source without relying on imported coal or oil, synthetic methanol engines, when using synthetic methanol as fuel, can reduce CO2 emissions by more than 30% compared to current gasoline engines.

7. Engines that use synthetic methane (LNG) and synthetic propane (LPG) as fuel, as well as engines that use synthetic methanol as fuel, which are produced entirely from domestically sourced materials and do not rely on imported coal or oil, are generally expected to reduce emissions compared to typical gasoline-powered vehicles.

8. The combustion of these synthetic fuels not only reduces CO2 emissions but also results in reduced emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx) and particulate matter (PM) during combustion. Additionally, the fuel prices for these synthetic fuels can be significantly lower, achieving costs that are one-tenth or less of gasoline prices.

9. Green synthetic fuels (methanol, liquefied natural gas LNG, liquefied petroleum gas LPG) are synthetic fuels made from domestically sourced materials, completely independent of imported coal or oil. They are produced using the unlimited renewable energy (electricity) supply from the 100% domestically produced and consumed (national) geothermal energy source known as CHEGPG (Power Generation Method), which costs between 1 yen/kWh to 0.01 yen/kWh and is ultra-low cost, carbon-neutral, and an infinite energy source.

These alternative fuels have the potential to reduce environmental impacts, revolutionize and innovate the fuel infrastructure industry, and become options contributing to sustainable energy strategies.

10. AERI aims to achieve the Green New Deal by using a power infrastructure based on the stable, ultra-low-cost, carbon-neutral, and infinite energy source known as CHEGPG (Power Generation Method). This source provides 100% of the country's electricity demand without relying on imported coal or oil and produces synthetic fuels (LNG, LPG, methanol) through the carbon-neutral carbon recycling system type AERI synthetic fuel chemical process. These synthetic fuels are used as the fuel for zero-emission vehicles, green fuel automobiles, aircraft, and the shipping industry. This approach allows for the realization of the Green New Deal without depending on wind or solar power, ensuring a clean, renewable, greenhouse gas-free energy source.

For example, the creation of new industries centered around zero-emission vehicles, green fuel automobiles, aircraft, and ships, as well as substantial investments in and a complete overhaul of transportation systems for public transport, can be achieved. This could lead to the creation of entirely new industries and the development of ancillary industries associated with transportation (Transportation Industry New Deal). Furthermore, this could serve as the foundation for the creation of applied industries built upon the transportation New Deal infrastructure.

11. For the reasons mentioned above, it is believed that the research and development of the CHEGPG system by the Artificial Evolution Research Institute (AERI: Artificial Evolution Research Institute, HP: https://www.AERI-japan.com/) places it within one of the leading groups capable of ensuring Japan's energy security.

12. In addition to the reasons mentioned above, it becomes evident that the transition to a new industrial structure that can address critical challenges and seemingly insurmountable problems facing Japan, such as (1) ensuring energy security, (2) mitigating global warming and addressing climate change, (3) green transformation (GX), (4) achieving carbon neutrality, (5) zero emissions of greenhouse gases like CO2, (6) creating and nurturing green giants in the power generation sector, and (7) establishing and nurturing emission trading industries based on carbon pricing, can be achieved through a combination of three core technologies:

a. Closed-cycle heat exchange power generation system with a heat recovery binary engine, CHEGPG system, capable of generating 1,000 terawatts (1 terawatt = 1 trillion watts = 1,000 MW) of power per unit (single power generation method).

b. Carbon-neutral AERI synthetic fuel chemical process.

c. Production technology for green synthetic fuels (methanol, liquefied natural gas LNG, liquefied petroleum gas LPG).

These three integrated technologies collectively offer solutions to these complex challenges and problems, providing a path towards a sustainable and transformed industrial structure for Japan.
