What it will take to unleash the potential of geothermal power


1.There is enough heat flowing in the Earth's interior to meet twice the world's total energy needs. To harness this heat, we need to drill deep into the earth and convert it into usable energy.

Geothermal power has the advantage of stability. In contrast to wind and solar power, which generate electricity in quantities that are dependent on the weather and the time of day, geothermal power can generate electricity at all times, providing a stable source of power.

3. Geothermal power is the only renewable energy source that can be used as a base-load power source (i.e. a cheap and stable source of electricity 24 hours a day).

4. geothermal power (carbon-free, but not renewable) can also play a role as a base-load power source, but its expansion is limited by cost, waste and public perception.

5.The geothermal technology offered by the Artificial Evolution Research Institute (AERI) does away with the fatal flaw of conventional geothermal power generation, which is the process of pumping hot water or steam from underground to the surface, and instead uses only the heat from the ultra-deep heat source to drive a turbine to generate electricity. This eliminates the need to pump water back into the ground to maintain pressure, which is a fatal flaw of conventional geothermal power generation.

6. The geothermal technology offered by the Artificial Evolution Research Institute (AERI) is therefore free from the fatal flaws of conventional geothermal power generation: heat, fissured bedrock, groundwater and their proximity to each other and within a few kilometres of the surface.

7. Geothermal power: the only renewable energy source that is not affected by weather conditions

Geothermal power is the only renewable energy source that is independent of weather conditions, compared to crude oil and natural gas, whose supply is a strategic commodity and a political bargaining chip; coal- and natural gas-fired power plants, which emit too much carbon dioxide (CO2); and wind and solar power plants, for which natural disasters and bad weather can be fatal.

(AERI https://www.aeri-japan.com/) is working on a geothermal power generation method that (1) can be 100% home-grown without depending on other countries for power generation resources, and (2) is the only one with the highest safety It is also the only energy source that can be guaranteed to be 100% home-grown, (3) is unaffected by climate change, extreme weather conditions or natural disasters, (4) has essentially zero feedstock costs, and (5) is a stable source of electricity that is far superior to coal- or natural gas-fired power generation and comparable to or superior to nuclear power generation. It has the potential to generate more than 1,000 GWh (gigawatt-hours) of electricity, far exceeding coal- and natural gas-fired power generation and rivaling or surpassing nuclear power. See also
