1st : USA 17,045.
2nd : Saudi Arabia 11,832.
3rd: Russia 11,540.
4th : Canada 5,651 (1,000 barrels per day).
The real culprit behind the high oil prices is the US government, which has encouraged China to create military unrest and a new military balance in the East China Sea and the Taiwan Strait.
It is only a clever manipulation of public opinion to blame this on the economic recovery towards the decolonisation of China.
Before urging Japan and other countries to release their crude oil stockpiles, if the US, the world's number one crude oil producer, which has been profiting handsomely from high oil prices, were to increase its own production, the price of crude oil would quickly settle down to the $40 per barrel level.
The US should be laughing all the way to the bank in terms of arms exports, shale oil sales, US military spending and other defense contracts.
